Our Pastor

Pastor Nijel Rawlins (aka Papa Nijel), is a husband, Father, and a gospel musician of Caribbean American decent. He was born and raised in St. Thomas U.S.V.I. Nijel was always exposed to music and especially loved reggae music. Soon after finishing high school, Nijel joined the U.S Army where he served his country honorably. It was during that season that he gave his life to Christ and felt the call to ministry. After military service, Nijel began teaching at a local high school. He also attended Liberty University where he recieved his degree minoring in Church ministries. Then in 2014 he visited Uganda for the first time. God was calling him and so in 2018, God released him to serve as a pastor in Uganda Africa. From that time on, Pastor Nijel has been leading Salvation Church Uganda, a young vibrant church in the heart of Uganda, Africa (Entebbe). His mission is simply to promote strong complete families, creating a community of believers who serves our local and global community, and to help prepare souls for eternity with Christ.
